why are the ufc trading cards so expensive?
im talking about the ones from topps.they are like $7 to $25 a pack!thats freakin outrageous,like they arent making alot of money of all their other stuff they gotta overprice the kids that want them.
It is the unfortunate evolution of trading cards especially baseball cards. $7/$25 a pack is actually a low price point now. There are packs in other sports than go for hundreds and now some in the thousands. The licenses including UFC has grown to be more complex with a lot of regulation (like restricting how sets to produces every year etc) and cost more. Also people expect hits like autographs and memorabilia which cost more money than people expect. A baseball example since there is a lot coverage compare to UFC cards. Pujols autograph cost $200 per card. So Topps has to put junk autos and raise the prices of pack to make up for this and use the Pujols cards for marketing. I pretty sure it is same principal with UFC.
I been wanting a box of UFC but I am waiting for the price to drop.
