The Best MMA Fighters

Well there is a lot of argument about the best fighters  and it changes with each fight. I have composed a list of those who have stood the test of time and emerged as great fighters. Let's check out these bruisers.

Chuck Liddell

Fighting in a stand up style, Chuck is responsible for MMA becoming so popular, or so many think. He is very popular and came up through the martial arts. Chuck also has an extensive wrestling background which services him well on the ground.

Matt Hughes

Hughes a nine-time champion of the World Welterweight UFC is even bigger than ever. He is highly popular and at one time perhaps the best know MMA fighter. Matt is a nice guy and is very popluar among fans.

Tito Ortiz

Tito is super controversial. He is aggressive, mouthy and good. Prior to his back injury he was one of the greats. After his loss to Forrest well it remains to be seen. Prior to his fight, I'd call him one of the greats.

The Gracies

Well the Gracies put BJJ on the map. Royce pioneered this sport showing a little man could beat a big man. Now Renzo is on the scene. Who is the best Gracie? That remains to be seen.

Brock Lesnar

The former WWE champion has risen to supreme height  and captured the heavy weight title. An illness has sidelined him, but his spirit is extraordinary. He has a chance to dominate the heavyweights.

Frank Mir

Frank Mir is inspirational. He has  made a comeback when other might have retired.  He is now on top of the heavyweights. He worked hard and is a force to be reckoned with.

Forest Griffin

Forest is a favorite of many. He is soft spoken but delivers a mean game. He is comfortable standing and on the ground. His win over Tito, put him on top and the one to be beat.

Georges St-Pierre

He is the ultimate good guy, with a welath of skills. He is stunning on his feet and the ground. Fans love him and he is one bad dude, in a nice way.  St-Pierre's fights are not  end with hard fought victories.

Thiago Alves

Thiago is calm cool and just good. With 20 wins he has taken the UFC by storm. It remains to be seen what this bad boy can do, but I have my money on Thiago.
